New things to see at Florida theme parks
Planning a trip this summer takes time and careful planning, but when you’re in Florida look no further because there are a lot of new things to see in the theme park capital of the world. Despite a decrease in Florida tourism, theme parks remain to be fully packed, and this year they have so many new things to offer their guests.
The new Aquatica park at SeaWorld lets you plunge into a 250-foot tube while watching dolphins ride the waves around you. It has 36 water slides and six rivers and lagoons where you can see exotic bird habitat, a pool teeming with colorful fish and many more. There are 15,000 square feet of play areas in Walkabout Waters, including slides and water cannons where your kids can enjoy.
Tag along on The Simpsons’ trip to Krusty the Clown’s fictitious theme park at Universal in Orlando and Hollywood. The Simpsons Ride is a roller-coaster simulator that replaces Back to the Future at both locations with original animation, plotlines and jokes from the smash TV series. It is not only a thrill ride but also a TV show.
A new attraction at Disney is waiting for you this summer. A new 3-D video shooting gallery themed after the “Toy Story” movies is now ready to accept visitors at Walt Disney parks. Mr. Potato Head will welcome you with his song, dance and tricks as you enter the world of Andy. Visitors are made to feel “shrunk” down to toy size by giant dice, checkers and other over sized toys lining the ride queue.
A jungle in Florida is what you’ll see in Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, it is a four-acre attraction featuring Bengal tigers, orangutans, gibbons, flying foxes and more. Jungala, in the park’s Congo area is a hidden jungle village surrounded by giant trees, waterfalls and stone. See the wild animals playing around while you also enjoy yourself with exciting rides and entertainments.
